We were asked by an inspirational Education Sector client to help with various training and assessment projects, as they were facing radical change and wanted to support their staff. Our roleplayer facilitators worked with them on workshops for such topics as Performance Appraisal Skills and Negotiating Skills – and we also devised with them a series of workshops on Managing Difficult Conversations. These workshops were designed to help staff develop techniques to manage the tricky and emotional conversations that were inevitable with the scope of the change that was facing staff and management alike.

Informative and interactive, these sessions outlined the client’s preferred approach to these conversations, with demonstration scenarios and hot seating sessions discussing what, why, when and how they could tackle the issues of the day and further sessions of one to one practise, using scenarios that they brought with them from their workplace.

Other support for this client includes casting, devising and filming training scenarios mirroring some of the issues found in this diverse, multi-cultural organisation. With generic storylines echoing their experiences, the aim is as always to inform, entertain, raise awareness and promote discussion, with the scenarios designed to be watched in their entirety on the client’s intranet, or as standalone sections during training workshops. Subjects include Facilitating Groups, Bullying and Managing Diverse Teams.
